AdBlue Warning Still Showing After a Refill? Understanding Your Options

You have topped up the AdBlue, but the warning is still there. A refill may not register immediately, or the warning may concern a system fault rather than low fluid. Adding AdBlue does not necessarily resolve both. Start with the refill instructions in your vehicle handbook and the exact message displayed. If the warning remains, AdBlue Fix can check whether our software service is suitable. Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning by WhatsApp, call with those details, or use the quote form.
What is the warning actually telling you?
A low-level message and a system-fault message are not the same thing. The wording on the display helps distinguish them, so photograph the full message rather than just the warning symbol.
When contacting us, explain what happened before and after the refill. You do not need to identify a faulty component or understand the technical terms.
- Tell us roughly how much AdBlue you added and when.
- Include any countdown shown on the display.
- Say whether the car or van currently starts.
- Mention any other warnings, even if they seem unrelated.
Check the refill guidance before adding more
Check your handbook for the required refill quantity and procedure. Some vehicles specify a minimum quantity to restart after running empty, and recognition may not be immediate. Do not keep adding fluid blindly or overfill the tank.
If you have followed those instructions and the message remains, arrange an assessment rather than guessing. If you want the existing system restored, that is a separate diagnostic and repair route with a provider offering that work.
Our service is different: we offer software changes, not physical repairs. Understanding that distinction helps you decide which option you want to discuss.
How AdBlue Fix can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software service. We change the engine computer's software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown.
We do not replace, fit, repair or clean parts. The work does not fix unrelated engine faults, so tell us about every symptom when you enquire. Not every vehicle is suitable: we check your registration before quoting.
For a suitable car or van, we arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe place in England, subject to availability. You can explain any access restrictions when booking.
Experienced technicians and clear cover
Our team's experience goes back to . AdBlue Fix combines experienced technicians with a nationwide mobile service across England. You can also read genuine Google reviews before deciding whether to book.
Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge.
The Lifetime Software Warranty applies to our software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Other software work is quoted separately
You do not have to book additional software work with your AdBlue service. If you want to discuss other options, we offer Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap and Stage 2 Remap. Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications.
DPF Delete and EGR Delete are also available as software-only services. All additional services are quoted separately and are never free with AdBlue work. Ask about suitability rather than assuming every option applies to your vehicle.
Book your mobile appointment in three steps
Start with the details below so we can check the vehicle and your location before discussing an appointment.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, ideally with a clear photo, by WhatsApp or through the quote form. Alternatively, call with the details ready.
- 2. We check suitability and provide a quote for the agreed software work.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at your home, work or another safe location, subject to availability.

Customer FAQs
Will another bottle of AdBlue clear the warning?
Not necessarily. A system-fault warning can remain despite sufficient fluid. Follow your vehicle's refill guidance rather than treating every warning as a request for more AdBlue.
Can a countdown continue after refilling?
Yes. A countdown can relate to a detected system fault, not just an empty tank, and may eventually prevent restarting. Arrange help rather than assuming the refill has resolved it.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes software only. We do not remove the tank or carry out any other physical parts work.
What are your hours, and do you offer emergency callouts?
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Can you confirm suitability from the warning photo alone?
No. We also need your registration to check the vehicle before quoting. Your postcode lets us check mobile coverage and availability for the visit.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
