Citroën Berlingo AdBlue Warning Light Won't Go Off?

You've topped up your Citroën Berlingo, but the AdBlue light is still on. The important distinction is whether the message reports low fluid or an emissions-system fault. A refill addresses low fluid, but it does not resolve a separate fault in the SCR system that uses AdBlue. If the warning remains, check the exact wording rather than assuming it needs more fluid. Send AdBlue Fix your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning by WhatsApp. You can also call or use the quote form. We check suitability before quoting for our mobile AdBlue software service.
What is your Berlingo actually telling you?
A low-AdBlue message and an emissions-fault message need different responses. Citroën's handbook distinguishes refill warnings from SCR faults, which can bring on the AdBlue, service and engine warning lights together.
A countdown is not simply a reminder to dismiss. A confirmed SCR fault can eventually prevent the engine restarting. Ask for help before the displayed distance runs out.
When contacting us, include the complete message, any remaining distance and whether the engine currently starts. Photograph the display while safely parked.
Which Berlingos use AdBlue?
Do not assume every diesel Berlingo has the same system. Citroën's UK specification guide lists AdBlue tanks for the 1.5-litre BlueHDi 100 and BlueHDi 130 versions. The Berlingo name alone is not enough to identify your vehicle's equipment.
We confirm your version from the registration and check whether our software service is suitable before providing a quote. Tell us about previous software changes or recent work as well, rather than relying only on the engine badge.
Already refilled it? Check before adding more
Follow the refill instructions in your own Berlingo handbook. Citroën specifies particular refill and restart procedures, so do not assume a small top-up or an immediate restart will settle every low-fluid warning.
If the display reports an emissions fault, adding more AdBlue is not a substitute for checking that fault. The handbook treats low fluid and SCR malfunction as separate conditions.
Tell us roughly how much you added, when you added it and whether the message changed afterwards. Those details help us understand your enquiry without asking you to identify components.
How AdBlue Fix can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for our same software service. We change the engine computer's software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown on suitable vehicles.
This is software work only. We do not replace, fit, repair or clean parts, and the service does not fix unrelated engine faults. Not every Berlingo is suitable, which is why the registration check comes first.
Once suitability and the quote are agreed, we arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe location. Our mobile service covers cars and vans across England, so you can request assistance where your vehicle is parked.
Why choose our mobile team?
Our experienced technicians bring more than 10 years of experience to the work. We provide nationwide mobile coverage across England, and you can read genuine Google reviews before deciding whether to book.
Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge.
The Lifetime Software Warranty applies to our software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Book your Berlingo in three steps
Start with the vehicle details, not a guess about which part has failed. We will explain whether we can offer our software service before you arrange an appointment.
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts. If your Berlingo will not start, say so when you contact us.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details by WhatsApp, including a photo. Alternatively, call or use the quote form.
- 2. We check the vehicle's suitability and provide a quote for the agreed software work.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at your home, work or another safe place with access to the vehicle.

Customer FAQs
Will the warning disappear by itself?
Citroën says a temporary SCR fault alert may disappear after the system's checks. A warning that persists needs attention, especially with a countdown. Do not assume it will clear on the next journey.
Can you help if my Berlingo already will not start?
Contact us with the exact message and registration so we can check suitability. We offer mobile emergency callouts, but cannot promise to resolve a no-start caused by an unrelated fault.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes software only. We do not remove the tank or carry out any other physical parts work.
Are remaps included with the AdBlue work?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap and Stage 2 Remap are quoted separately. Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications. DPF Delete and EGR Delete are also separate, software-only services, subject to suitability.
What should I tell you about previous work?
Mention any previous remap, AdBlue software work, engine-computer update or recall. Include recent refill details and all current warning messages so we can assess your enquiry accurately.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
